Q.Tell us a little bit about yourself.
A. I’m Gabby, a photographer, a blogger, a modern gypsy, a global citizen, a flower child, an explorer, an emotional junkie and an ice cream addict. I currently live in Berlin, Germany. I quit my corporate job about 6 months ago to pursue my dream of becoming a professional wedding / lifestyle photographer! Best decision EVEEEER! You can read about my travels and daily musings on my personal blog Gypsy*Diaries http://gypsy-diaries.blogspot.com/ or you can check my photography work over at my company’s blog at http://enroute-blog.com/.
Q.Your most favourite “thing” to photograph.
A.Definitely people! Every time I travel somewhere I have to force myself to take some landscape or journalistic pictures. I love to make people feel pretty and get them to give me a real smile… It’s such an exciting challenge! ;)
Q. Whats inside your THEIT bag?
A. The love of my life, my Canon 5D Mark II with the Canon 580EX Speedlight, the 50mm f 1.4 lens and several small light formers for the flash. I always have extra batteries, memory cards, memory sticks, my phone, wallet and keys with me too. Beyond the photo stuff I’m also a girly girl so I like have some lipgloss, sunglasses, a mini perfume and chewing gum with me. As I’m constantly traveling you’d normally find a guidebook or a map in there too! ;)
Q. Share one photography tip or trick that you most love.
A.I love to photograph through windows! I put my subject behind the window and I capture him/her looking out while the outside world reflects on the glass. I think there is something amazingly beautiful in being able to see the inside and outside world in a single shot.
