howdy!  i’m evangeline, a travel obsessed artist currently living in boston . i shoot weddings that are a little offbeat and non generic. i have an uncompromising artistic style and move in the opposite direction of cliche wedding photography. instead i photograph weddings as an observer and document the day as it naturally occurs. i don’t like cheesy. i don’t like traditional. i like to create art. i like to have fun and laugh till it hurts. i also enjoy the aesthetic of lowercase typography. oh and I <3 my job. http://www.evangelinelanephotography.com

Q.Tell us your most favourite “thing” to photograph.
A. I love to photograph people in their natural environment and shining light on every day norms.  documenting my travels across domestic and foreign lands and, of course, couples in love are pretty rad too!

Q. What’s inside your THEIT bag?
A.My theit bag fits all of the essentials:
canon 5d
canon 28-74 l series
canon flash
diana f camera and film
batteries, extra cs cards
the scarf i picked up in israel
my pink italian leather change purse, aka my wallet
my favorite hot pink lipstick (a must)
hair ties, bubble gum, sample size of my fav perfume, cheap sunglasses
bubbles (my favorite go to prop)

Q. Share one photography tip or trick that you most love.
 A. I think the most important lesson i’ve learned to it stay true to myself and to never give up.  This is a tough business, especially when you’re going the untraditional route, so it’s important to stray strong and be fearless!

Q.Why do you adore your new THEIT bag?
 A. I love my theit bag because it allows me all the functionality of a “typical” camera bag, though it is anything but, without sacrificing style and glamor.  It adds instant chic to any outfit and completes my look of an untraditional wedding photographer.  Gone are the days of frumpy all black outfits and ugly camera bags.  ladies- it’s all about theit!!
